The Blades of Chaos, Kratos's signature weapons, are a pair of chained blades that were fashioned by the then-God of War Ares, in the foulest depths of Hades, right in the pits of Tartarus, with its flames harvested from the Primordial Goddess Chaos, forged by the great Greek smith-god Hephaestus. Ares had the blades made for a servant who would not only prove worthy of being in his service, but would also prove to be a warrior mighty enough to topple even the Gods of Mount Olympus themselves.
