Jack Black (born Thomas Jacob Black, August 28, 1969) is an American actor, comedian, and musician. Though he is primarily known for his work in film and television, Black is also one half of the comedy rock duo Tenacious D with his friend Kyle Gass. Black and Gass are the sole consistent members of the band (while being supported by other musicians for tours and studio recordings as needed), with Black providing lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Within Tenacious D, he also goes by the names Jables

Jack Black is at his comic best as Ignacio, a disrespected cook at a Mexican monastery that can barely afford to feed the orphans who live there.
