The Syphon Filter series made a name for itself on the PS one in 1999 and kept the series on the same console even after the PS2 launched in 2000. Syphon Filter 3 was released in 2001 and ever since then, developer Sony Bend has been working on updating the franchise for the next generation of PlayStation.
