Starfield is getting official mod support in 2024, games director Todd Howard confirmed. “the mods will be supported next year, but we will do it in a big way because we love it too,” he said in an interview. However, it could take a while for the official modding tools to be made available, considering Starfield was developed on the overhauled Creation Engine 2.
