The Church of Pentecost has officially opened a new hospital in Bolgatanga, the capital of Ghana\u2019s Upper East Region. The 35-bed facility, known as Pentecost Hospital \u2013 Bolgatanga, is located in the Kumbagre area and was commissioned on June 18, 2025, by the Church\u2019s Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, together with traditional leaders and health officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital was fully funded by the Church of Pentecost and is equipped with male, female, maternity, and children\u2019s wards, as well as outpatient and inpatient departments, a laboratory, dispensary, and modern diagnostic tools, including AI-assisted technology to support patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This new facility responds to the long-standing healthcare challenges in the Upper East Region, such as limited hospital infrastructure and long travel times for referrals. By establishing this hospital, the Church aims to improve access to quality healthcare while advancing its social transformation agenda under the \u201cPossessing the Nations\u201d vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea for the hospital emerged after a 2018 car accident in the Bolgatanga area exposed the region\u2019s lack of adequate emergency medical services. The Bolgatanga Area of the Church, with support from the national headquarters, turned this challenge into a mission to build a hospital that could serve the community more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Residents of Bolgatanga and nearby towns will now have better access to medical care, including maternity and child health services, emergency treatment, and diagnostic testing, without having to travel long distances. The hospital is expected to bring hope, healing, and improved healthcare delivery to the region while upholding Christian values of compassion and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Church of Pentecost\u2019s continued investment in healthcare demonstrates its commitment to holistic ministry\u2014addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of people across Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
