Could someone explain the meaning of the arrows on crops UI please - General Discussion - Crate Entertainment Forum

See this screenshot The arrows pointing up and down to the left of “fertility”, “weed level” and “rockiness” For fertility for example, does that mean: Fertility is decreasing? Fertility is low? Or for weed level: Weeds are growing? Weed amount is improving (by decreasing)? Not sure what to make of their meaning yet. TY!
